Change your password
Settings › Account: enter your current password, then a new one twice. Passwords need 8 or more characters with a capital, a number and a special character. Google-linked accounts have no password to change.

- Open Settings from the left menu › Account.
- Fill in
Current password,New passwordandConfirm password. The new one needs at least 8 characters including a capital letter, a number and a special character; the form shows which rule is unmet. - Save. If you've been signed in a long time you may be asked to Verify your identity by signing in again first; that's normal.
Google accounts
If you sign in with Google the Account tab says Your account is linked with Google and shows no password fields; your security is managed in your Google account. Forgotten your current password on an email account? Log out and use Forgot password instead.
Other security notes
- There's no two-factor authentication setting in StoryTribe; Google sign-in inherits whatever 2FA your Google account has.
- Changing your password signs out your other devices, but not instantly: each one keeps working until its current session expires, which can take up to an hour, and then it has to sign in again with the new password.
