We’re sad to say goodbye to David R Smith as he steps away from StoryTribe, but we’re excited for all that’s ahead in his new chapter.
A few months ago, my former co-founder David made the difficult decision to step away from StoryTribe. With so much happening – I quit my full-time job to focus fully on StoryTribe, and also began an exhausting fundraising journey – we only get to announce this today.
His decision comes as he takes on new, demanding family responsibilities and personal commitments, which mean he can no longer dedicate his time to our startup as he once did.
David is an incredible engineer and entrepreneur, and I feel forever lucky to have had the opportunity to work alongside him. He has brought such talent, creativity, and heart to StoryTribe, playing an essential role in getting us to where we are today.
Just three weeks ago, David welcomed a beautiful new baby, Noah Edward, into the world. Although he's now deeply engaged in the important role of being a dad of three, he remains a strong supporter of StoryTribe. David will continue to be our advocate on social channels and will provide invaluable technical mentorship to our team as we continue to grow.
